Writing Center Tutor Responsibilities:

  • Tutor students individually and in small groups both in-person and online in reading, writing, or related subjects.
  • Create client reports for each appointment.
  • Track Perkins and non-Perkins related appointments.
  • Collaborate with instructors to share and implement best practices for writing instruction.
  • Offer in-classroom support and lead workshops.
  • Develop resources to assist students, tutors, and faculty.
  • Utilize Starfish, WCOnline, Teams, and other platforms to fulfill duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in English, Writing, or related field.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred.
