Are you skilled in verbal subjects (reading comprehension, writing expression, interpretation of literature) and have a passion for teaching?
C2 Education, the fastest-growing K-12 educational service of its kind in the U.S., is looking for a verbal tutor at our Franklin Farm, Herndon, VA center in a part time position, in-person.
WE PROVIDE:
- Consistent and flexible scheduling. Tutors do not have to travel to other people's homes and can earn a predictable bi-weekly pay. Instruction is done at our center (though remote tutoring may be possible in some cases). Tutors do not grade homework outside of work hours.
- A good learning environment, with paid training. We provide all the teaching resources you'll need in our center - just bring your skills and love of teaching. Tutoring is done one-on-one or in a small group (max 3 students).

- Compensation is $26/hr. -$30/hr.
- A bachelor's degree or higher level degree.
- Sharp reasoning skills, reflected in an ability to do well on and teach SAT-level material. All applicants take a sample SAT(Reading / Writing section) at our center and will need to score 700+ to be eligible to tutor at the high school level.
- Strong skills in critical reading and writing (including knowledge of grammar principles), as well as the ability to teach young people how to excel in these verbal skills. A solid background in English/American literature and literary interpretation is a plus.
- A passion for teaching and working with young people. Previous experience teaching or tutoring is a plus.
