Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer to drive the definition and design for Kuiper’s mobile and web design framework capabilities. The design system provides the components used throughout the website and mobile app, provides tools for designers and developers, and documents the human interface guidelines for how to use the components. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of world-class multi-disciplinary designers to invent and deliver UX frameworks and features that align and extend the experience across all devices. You will champion a design system and invent and simplify a set of mechanisms, building blocks and tools that empower designers and engineers building the future experiences for no code/low code products within Amazon.
Project Kuiper’s success requires leaders who are owners, and who possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to create new products. A successful candidate has a passion for design systems, strong visual and interaction design senses, a customer-obsessed UX toolkit, and a history of applying them at scale. Candidates who are adept at leading internal and external design workshops and design discovery activities are encouraged to apply.
