Apple's Global Business Intelligence group focuses on deploying critical business intelligence solutions for all business areas. We are looking for an expert UI/UX designer to design the solutions/tools used by multiple users. This role requires the UX Designer to collaborate with stakeholders and evaluate the end user requirements, develop interaction models, user task flows, envision scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs as per Apple Design standards. In addition, the UX Designer is expected to have deep analytical capabilities and a proven track record of influencing and guiding business stakeholders through discussions, brainstorming, and conceptualization.

Key Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of proven industry experience in high-impact UX design
  2. Deep understanding of the UX design process and strategy
  3. Strong grasp of fundamental user-centered visual and interactive design principles
  4. Proficient with design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Figma, Keynote, Adobe CS, InVision etc.
  5. Experience in facilitating brainstorming sessions and generating innovative ideas and concepts
  6. Excellent collaboration skills and comfortably partnering with cross-functional teams
  7. Familiarity with design systems, accessibility, branding, localization etc.
  8. An online portfolio of professional work demonstrating the successful delivery of projects is required
  9. Critical thinker, problem solver, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  10. Proficiency in the latest Mac OS X and iOS platforms and a good understanding of Apple design guidelines is a plus
  11. Experience with designing AI/ML-based solutions (e.g. conversational UI) is a plus

Description

The UX Designer is a key player in creating some critical enterprise solutions for our users! From brainstorming through implementation, the User Experience Designer will work closely with the other designers on the team, software engineering, product management, and other partners. The ideal candidate can effectively partner with business owners to understand requirements, grasp and distill highly sophisticated user mindsets, employ creative techniques to generate a diverse range of innovative ideas and concepts, create wireframes, and prototypes to visualize ideas, and collaborate with developers to execute the projects efficiently. The UX Designer will uphold the Apple principles that form the foundation of elegant, efficient, intuitive, and delightful products. They will be responsible for building elegant UX experiences that are simple, intuitive, and impactful. They must be able to work in a constantly evolving environment and perform effectively under dynamic conditions such as directional changes, tight deadlines, and limited resources. We seek a self-starter, transformational person with strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in a design-related field. Graphic design, visual communication, information design, or interaction design, is preferred.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $208,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
