About our Producer:
As a Producer, you will play a critical role in leading the production of high-quality audio and video content for our growing network of true crime shows. This position requires a highly organized, creative, and experienced professional with the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion. You’ll oversee cross-functional teams, ensure production schedules are met, and contribute to storytelling strategies that captivate and engage our audience.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Production Process: Manage all aspects of audio and video content production, including planning, scripting, recording, editing, and distribution.
- Project Management: Develop and oversee production schedules, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Creative Direction: Collaborate with writers, hosts, and editors to shape compelling narratives for podcast episodes and multimedia content.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor production team members, providing feedback and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Technical Oversight: Utilize audio and video editing tools such as GarageBand, Descript, and DaVinci Resolve to review and refine content.
- Content Distribution: Oversee the delivery of content to platforms such as YouTube, Simple cast, Megaphone, and other distribution systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with writers, editors, legal teams, and leadership to ensure alignment and streamline workflows.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to audiochuck’s high standards for storytelling and production excellence.
- Trend Analysis: Research podcasting, video, and true crime trends to keep content fresh, innovative, and aligned with audience interests.
What you will bring to the table:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in podcast production, multimedia production, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, Media Production, Broadcasting, Film Studies, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in audio and video editing software, including GarageBand, Descript, DaVinci Resolve, and experience with content management and distribution platforms like Simple cast and YouTube.
- Project Management: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Creative Vision: A strong passion for storytelling and the ability to translate ideas into compelling audio and visual content.
- Leadership: Experience managing teams and collaborating across departments, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Attention to Detail: A commitment to delivering polished, professional content that reflects audiochuck’s brand and values.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work nights and weekends as production schedules require.
