NewsNation is looking for a curious, resourceful, proactive, and aggressive booking producer for the weekend edition of the network’s morning show Morning in America. As a booking producer, you will work with show producers to arrange guest appearances on the program to discuss the news of the day and or breaking news. You must have excellent organizational skills, be an effective communicator, be detail-oriented, and work well under deadline pressure. The position is based in the network’s New York office. Responsibilities • Identify top tier guests, cultivate relationships, and arrange guest appearances on the show • Conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on range of topics • Organize and produce elements for show segments • Build and maintain a calendar and guest database • Monitor the latest news and locate people, images, and sound editorial information via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Dataminr, YouTube, and other platforms • Find reliable guests/witnesses quickly during breaking news situations • Perform other duties as assigned by show or network leadership Qualifications • A bachelor's degree is preferred • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a newsroom • This job will require working "in-office" on the weekends, as well as flexibility with your schedule, due to breaking news • Strong editorial judgement • Knowledge of and passion for current events and politics • Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings • Experience with Lexis Nexis, ENPS would be valuable Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 #LI-Onsite Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
