Do you enjoy the art of bringing concepts to life? Crafting depth and believability from paper? Pushing and pulling verts in an endless sea of wireframes until it evolves into shape and mass, slapping your painting skills as a final touch to form a living, breathing, environment? Were seeking someone like you! Someone that isnt afraid to build anything, from small, whimsical, water guns, to large, intergalactic platforms. There will be a large assortment of assets requiring your expertise. Youll be responsible for owning the tasks youre given, working closely with your manager as well as with cross disciplinary teams, and executing to the best of your ability within a game dev environment and deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Model a wide range of assets to spec from provided concepts
  • UV and texture models to spec
  • Implement assets into the project in Unity
  • Work with your manager and across disciplines to create or edit assets
  • Own work from following art direction, meet deadlines on time, and deliver game-ready assets for implementation
  • Know the game and contribute to the ideas that help make the game better
    Requirements
    • 5+ years professional experience with at least 1 shipped AAA title or equivalent work in a related field (worked on the project from inception through completion)
    • Portfolio demonstrating expert knowledge and abilities with examples of 3D production artwork for games
    • High level modeling skills
    • High level UV skills
    • High level hand painted texturing skills
    • Experience with Jira or similar task-management systems
    • Expert knowledge of job related tools and software (Photoshop, Maya, etc.)
    • Strong ability to translate 2D to 3D, capturing accurate form, scale, and details
    • Establish and manage the 3D Pipeline
    • Manage and Mentor our 3D Artists
    • Manage Outsourcing for 3D Assets (Communication, Tasking, Review, Feedback, and Tracking)
    • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical parties
    • Attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits
    • Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change
    • Establish best practices and execution on 3D asset creation and optimizations
    • Mobile game development experience
    • Expert Unity game engine experience
    • Passion for games and knowledge of the games industry
