Position Title: Associate Graphic Designer
Location: NYC
Employment Type: Fulltime – Exempt
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Salary: $75K -$78K
The Cogency Global Marketing Team is expanding, and we are looking to add an Associate Graphic Designer to our team to shape Cogency’s unique visual brand identity. Reporting to the Brand Manager, the Associate Graphic Designer will work with all functions in the Marketing team (Brand, Digital and Events) to evolve Cogency’s brand aesthetic. What You’ll Be Doing
· Conceptualize and create visual designs for print and digital media, including but not limited to: Logos, branding materials, advertisements, social media graphics, website layouts, infographics, events, videos, and illustrations etc.
· Curate and maintain files, photos, images and video library.
· Solve problems with innovative visual strategy and communication
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices
· Translate ideas and concepts into original and visually appealing designs that effectively communicate key messages and evoke desired emotions
· Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other team members to understand project objectives and develop creative solutions that meet business goals and brand guidelines
· Upholding and enforcing Cogency Global’s brand standards across expanding markets
· Contribute creative ideas in brainstorming sessions to enhance overall design quality
· Editing and refining digital assets using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and PlayPlay
· Clean-up and streamline all Marketing assets as needed.
· Assisting with general marketing administrative tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For
· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
· 2-3 years of experience in graphic or visual design
· Exceptional design and project management skills with an ability to deliver top-quality work in a deadline-driven environment. Please provide a portfolio of past work with digital and video examples.
· Strong illustration, design, and visualization skills
· Video and Audio mix experience is a must.
· Intuitive eye for design, innovative thinking, and a genuine love for creative work
· Strong sense of typography – you know when to use it, and when to hold back
· Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
· Excellent creative and critical thinking skills.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills
· Self-motivated, detail oriented and well-organized.
· Strong work ethic with organizational skills and high attention to detail
· Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills – interacts well with all levels of staff and management with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
· Results-oriented with high expectations for quality, accuracy, attention to detail and overall excellence.
· Proficiency with CMS and marketing automation tools (HubSpot/Pardot), along with knowledge of digital marketing best practices a plus.
