Position Summary
RAD's Library Services Coordinator oversees course reserves and plays a key role within the RAD team, ensuring library resources are available and discoverable to HSC patrons and community. The Library Services Coordinator performs a range of complex and specialized library tasks requiring a high-level of professional expertise, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a desire to work behind the scenes of an academic library. The Library Services Coordinator reports to the Division Head for RAD.

Bachelor's degree;at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Position Summary

The Library Services Coordinator performs a range of complex and specialized library tasks requiring a high-level of professional expertise, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a desire to work behind the scenes of an academic library. The Library Services Coordinator reports to the Division Head for RAD.
Duties include:
- Manages HSLIC's course reserves for HSC academic programs.
- Creates mechanisms or follows procedures to gather and collect usage statistics for library eresources such as local documentation and/or SUSHI protocols and OCLC's License Manager
- Analyzes and prepares comprehensive reports on library eresource usage, including detailed statistics at both the package and title level.
- Participates in and/or takes the lead on shelf management and other special projects, including developing and implementing project plans, objectives, workflow, and operational procedures.
- Performs administrative duties for electronic journals and databases including receiving invoices, tracking change notifications, cancellations, and ceased or new titles.
- Assists with renewal processes as directed by Resource Management Librarian.
- Oversees electronic ordering process and assists with entering other orders in library catalog as needed.
- Communicates with publishers and library vendors as needed.
- Creates or participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Assists in troubleshooting technical or linking issues with library resources.
- Assists in updating messaging for online tools and platforms that support resource discovery and access, such as LibKey Nomad++.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

- Experience performing similar tasks and job duties in an academic library.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, such as pivot tables and complex formulas to support reporting and statistical/data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience leading or participating in inventory or shift projects.
- Experience preparing and processing library materials.
- Experience using acquisition and cataloging functions in an integrated library system.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
