Salary:

Rapid City Medical Center is hiring a Marketing Specialist. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of a marketing plan to promote RCMC's physicians and services. As the driving force of marketing for RCMC, the Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to create multi-platform campaigns, based on marketing research and data analytics, including web design, print/digital ads, brochures, social media, posters and radio, newspaper and television commercials. Creativity, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills will be key to success in this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns for RCMC services, including web design, print/digital ads, brochures, social media, posters and radio, newspaper and television commercials.
  • Research and evaluate a variety of marketing trends and parameters of RCMC providers.
  • Conduct formal and informal studies of physicians, patients, and social/community agencies to assess the needs and to evaluate potential markets.
  • Develop, recommend and present a short- and long-term marketing strategy for RCMC; suggest services, facilities and improvements in procedures or levels of care that would open new markets.
  • Create monthly reports on critical metrics for content creation, website traffic, social media engagement, and other KPIs.
  • Develop and recommend marketing operating budget. Ensure that the departments operate within allocated funds.
  • Monitor physicians/department marketing performance in relation to established goals and implement changes to effect improvement or react to changes in the organization or industry.
  • Work with outside vendors for web-hosting and online reputation services. Ensure patient communication and online reviews are answered and promoted or handled.
  • Plan and coordinate RCMC marketing events.
  • Maintain and grow all RCMC social media platforms.
  • Execute communication strategy for inclement weather or other newsworthy issues.
  • Collaborate with professional affiliates to coordinate brand awareness and marketing as appropriate.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality regarding RCMC business.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree with emphasis in marketing, mass communication or advertising/public relations or equivalent previous related experience.

  • Requires a close working relationship with physicians, staff and patients.
  • Job requires ones ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard.
