Social Media Coordinator (Remote) Job at Ferocious Media Group in Jacksonville

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our team at Ferocious Media. This entry-level role is perfect for someone with an interest in digital marketing, especially in social media management, content creation, and email marketing. You will work closely with the Senior Social Media Manager and Director of Social and Content to help execute social media strategies, manage content calendars, and maintain our clients' online presence across platforms.

As a remote position, you should be comfortable working independently, staying organized, and effectively communicating with the team virtually. The ideal candidate is organized, has a strong understanding of social media platforms, and possesses excellent writing skills. You’ll play a key role in supporting our team by creating and scheduling social media posts, managing Google Business Profile updates, creating online review responses, and assisting with email marketing campaigns.

Key Functional Area or Responsibility:

• Social Media Management

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging posts for clients on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.

  • Assist with developing content strategies to maintain a consistent online presence and align with client goals.

  • Monitor and report on social media metrics and engagement levels.

• Google Business Profile

  • Create and schedule regular posts to keep Google Business Profile listings up-to-date, following SEO best practices. 

• Review Management

  • Create customer review responses (positive and negative), maintaining the client’s brand voice.

• Email Marketing

  • Assist in creating and managing email marketing campaigns.

  • Write copy for newsletters, promotions, and client communications, ensuring a consistent and engaging tone.

  • Help track campaign performance and suggest improvements based on results.

• Content Creation & Blog Writing

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging content that aligns with the client’s voice and brand identity.

  • Edit and proofread content for grammar, spelling, and style consistency.

• Collaboration & Support

  • Collaborate with the Senior Social Media Manager and Director to brainstorm new content ideas and strategies.

  • Assist in scheduling content calendars and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Stay up to date with social media trends, best practices, and industry news.

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.

• Familiarity with social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Profile).

• Basic understanding of social media marketing, content strategy, and best practices.

• Some experience in email marketing (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar platforms) is a plus.

• Ability to adapt to various brand voices and tones.

• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Interest in digital marketing and eagerness to learn about new trends and tools.

• Comfortable working in a remote environment, managing your schedule, and maintaining strong communication with a virtual team.

• In some cases, this role might be or become client-facing; the ideal candidate should feel comfortable attending client calls if needed.

The following are desired but not necessarily required skills:

• 1+ year of experience in social media marketing (internships or previous roles).

• Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Manager, Sprout Social).

• Experience with email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign).

• Knowledge of content writing best practices and SEO basics.

• Previous experience handling online reviews and customer engagement.
