Job Title: Marketing and Public Relations Specialist

Work Schedule: Student could create their 15 hour/week schedule from the following times: 8:30-5:00 Monday - Thursday and 8:30-3:00 on Fridays.
Desired Length of Employment: Fall and Spring semesters
Pay Rate: $11.00

Description of Duties:
Student will focus on creating greater community awareness of the Advocacy Center and our services. Student will work with leaders in the agency to create engaging social media content, website content, and content for other publications. Student will assist in the remodel and upkeep of the agency website. Student will also assist with promotion of agency fundraisers and events.
Required qualifications and experience:
Majoring in Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism. Experienced in creating social media content.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Experienced in writing public service announcements, website content creation, and an understanding of the Waco community.

- Provide marketing and communications support to assigned area of responsibility
- Assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to marketing and communications
- Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly
- Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
