Are you a writer who loves to code? Are you excited about diving deep into AI/ML concepts and helping customers adopt generative AI technology? The Technical Content Experience (TCX) group, also known as AWS Documentation, is looking for a programmer writer to support Amazon AI and ML services. These services include Amazon SageMaker, which is our flagship machine learning service, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Q, and this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Generative AI and Machine Learning technologies.


Ideally, you have both a technical background that enables easy interaction with software developers and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation. This is an opportunity to explain complex information concisely. You will become part of a customer-obsessed, dynamic team of talented, geographically distributed, highly technical communicators. Key job responsibilities

  1. Author and deliver high-quality documentation and samples
  2. Develop, negotiate, and drive content strategy in alignment with product strategy
  3. Engage with customers, gather data and feedback, and report insights around content performance metrics
  4. Develop scripts, sample code, and technical procedures that are easy to use
  5. Help hire and develop writers on the team
  6. Identify and drive opportunities to improve efficiency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  2. Background in machine learning or artificial intelligence
  3. Experience working with XML, markdown, or HTML
  4. Familiarity with using and following a style guide
  5. Experience designing, planning, and delivering content that meets the needs of a technical audience
  6. Experience working directly with teams of software engineers
