WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
The lead writer for the Storytelling & Publishing team is responsible for uncovering the deeper stories that show how NIKE, Inc. is an innovative company that serves all athletes.
The role requires reporting inside the company - interviewing employees, executives, and partners to find the behind-the-scenes details that make Nike Comms stories sharp, memorable and unique - and writing and packing content in a way that is fresh, engaging and platform-right.
The lead writer primarily creates content for about.nike.com, and specifically the Stories section, the site's editorial arm.
The role also requires creating employer-brand content for Nike's LinkedIn handle, which the S&P team also owns, and helping to fuel bigger editorial ideas for the S&P team as a whole.
WHAT YOU BRING
A successful candidate would have a journalism background, experience in reporting and editorial writing, and a deep passion for sports. Experience in photo, video and audio editing is also a plus.
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs.
