The Apple Services Engineering team is one of the most exciting examples of Apple’s long-held passion for combining art and technology. These are the people who power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Fitness+, and Apple Books. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Apple’s high expectations with high performance to deliver a huge variety of entertainment in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries! The Content Ingestion team is responsible for the inflow of content (e.g., audio, video) from Partners like Music Labels and Movie Studios. In this role, we work closely with Content Ingestion and with teams that have dependencies on Content Ingestion to drive cross-functional projects across Apple's Services. This role will also help lead strategic initiatives to modernize platforms and technology that enable partner and client teams to greatly improve the customer experience.
Description
In this role, you will partner with software engineers and managers from the Content Ingestion team to define, schedule, and track the team's work, which often includes multi-functional initiatives. The environment is fast-paced with concurrent projects and frequent changes in priorities. You will be the central hub bringing together different teams across Apple Services and coordinating delivery on groundbreaking technology across all of our ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a technical software Project or Program Manager
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to build relationships and influence others
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills including the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences
- Strong experience in driving complex and multi-functional software projects and integrations
- High attention to detail; ability to quickly absorb terminology and understand dependencies across various technology stacks
- Highly organized; proven track record of defining processes and establishing them
- BS in Computer Science or related experience preferred
