The Role.
We are looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and results-orientated Freelance Graphics Supervisor to join our dynamic and growing US team at AE Live. Reporting to the GM North America and working closely with colleagues around the globe, you will be responsible for the management of and overseeing the preparation and delivery of graphics for our on-air productions. You will work closely with the Operations team and our production partners and clients, to ensure Operators are fully prepared, and projects are delivered in line with all agreed parameters.
Your Role Accountabilities.
- Day-to-day management of our team of Graphic Operators to ensure all graphics are ‘TX ready’ and work through any logistical or technical issues that may arise.
- Provide clear direction to ensure all work is managed to the highest standard and delivering excellence in terms of quality.
- Manage the communication between our internal teams and our partners throughout the production lifecycle.
- Execute our on-air graphics cleanly, whilst troubleshooting errors and changes in a high-pressured, rapidly changing environment.
- Set an example to our Operators, demonstrating how AE Live expects our staff to approach and deliver our projects.
- Work with the Operations department to roster and assign operators for the immediate and longer-term schedule of projects.
- Assist in the recruitment of and training of our Operators, holding regular team briefing sessions to enhance our teams understanding of the on-air delivery and DR process.
- Utilize AE Live internal systems including Aerial and Xytech to manage resource, both personnel and technical equipment and ensure systems are kept up to date as operational plans change.
- Understanding the end-to-end workflow and each operational role for all assigned projects across logging, data integration and graphics playout.
- Work directly with technical staff to satisfy production requirements for live and pre-recorded programming under the supervision of the show’s director and operations management.
- Manage and organize digital assets including databases, ensuring proper file storage, version control, and data backup procedures are followed.
- Provide performance updates and project feedback to the Operations department.
- Potential travel beyond our studio facilities to sporting events and client offices around the US and abroad.
- Work a varied schedule which includes unsociable hours and weekends.
Qualifications & Experience.
- 2+ years of equivalent professional experience as a Graphic or Virtual Operator.
- Good understanding of broadcast production environments and workflows.
- Desired experience of working with TV graphics render systems eg. Vizrt, Chryon Prime, Ross Xpression etc.
- Excellent understanding of sports such Football, Hockey and Soccer etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong command of the English language, written and verbal, bonus if you are fluent in Spanish.
- Organised, punctual and have an exceptional level of concentration.
- Enhanced computer skills and IT knowledge.
- The ability to work weekends and unsociable hours.
- The legal right to live and work in the United States.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, location, skill set, experience and/or performance. Pay range: $350-$650 per day.
