Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Develop client-focused proposal layouts and client presentations for specific marketing pursuits, as requested
Participate as part of the proposal or presentation team, as needed, to support large efforts Develop graphics to support proposal and presentation efforts Develop client-focused qualifications packages Fully understand and adhere to KCI's branding standards Provide technical and artistic guidance and support to marketing team to encourage innovation and a competitive edge in our work output Train and support marketing staff on KCI template and library usage as well as general industry best practices for creating proposal documents Train junior marketing staff in creative software and basic proposal layout/graphics development Train and support graphic design staff in industry trends and best practices Review marketing staff's designs to inform training needs Develop and continually improve marketing's standards for graphics processes, quality, delivery and organization Maintain standardized InDesign and Word template(s) that offer flexibility and mix-and-match use for any KCI proposal Maintain resume templates for Microsoft Dynamics Customer Experience (CE) Document Generator (DocGen) - Knowledge of Liquid template language a plus, but not required Maintain content libraries Maintain a graphics library for pulling customizable graphics into proposals quickly and easily Maintain CC libraries so marketing staff can easily pull available graphics and icons into proposals Maintain a standardized graphics file storage system that is accessible and easy to use for all marketing staff Provide quarterly updates to the graphics page on the corporate intranet site Manage the "ticketing system" that marketing staff uses to request graphics support (uses Microsoft Forms and Planner) Collaborate with marketing staff at all levels, Corporate Communications, and firm-wide design teams (Technical Design, CorpCom, Planning Artists) to support the collaborative use of technical graphics in proposals and presentations Collaborate with technical staff in order to understand KCI's services and clients, and to best serve our internal clients. Maintain expertise in software and technical skills to be a department-wide leader in page layout and visual communication Regularly participate in training sessions through LinkedIn Learning, YouTube, etc. Participate in industry organizations and network with peers at other AEC firms to keep up with industry trends Stay abreast of Adobe software or other graphics software developments and updates Use Microsoft Dynamics Customer Experience (CE) to incorporate data into visual storytelling Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, advertising, communications or related field. Experience and demonstrated skill using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and PowerPoint. Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals Possess creative and innovative design skills and artistic talent shown through a portfolio Pre-employment drug testing is required as a condition of employment.
