Real Staffing is hiring: PUBLIC RELATIONS SENIOR ASSOCIATE (HEALTH) in Washingto

Are you passionate about healthcare and communication? We are looking for a healthcare public relations professional with 2-4 years of experience for a Senior Associate role at a global PR agency.

Role is hybrid (3 days/week) in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

1. Client Services: Day-to-day communications support; coordinate a diverse roster of health industry client accounts and/or sub-projects.
2. Project Management: Manage multiple projects, including task and deadline tracking, for multiple clients from concept to completion.
3. Writing: Write and edit complex health communications materials, media materials, collateral, and other client-facing deliverables.
4. Media Relations: Build and maintain press lists; build relationships with health care reporters, editors, producers, bloggers, and other media professionals.
5. Pitch Creation: Assist with media outreach strategies, including creating and executing newsworthy and complex pitches.
6. Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of health care issues, evolving health policy, and political issues that impact clients' businesses.
7. Social/Digital Work: Demonstrate an understanding and contribute to digital & social media platforms and their influence on strategic goals.
8. Business Development: Help with the agency's new business process.

What You Have

1. A BA/BS degree in a related field.
2. At least 2-5 years of relevant agency or in-house experience.
3. At least 2 years of experience in health industry communications, more is preferred.
4. Extremely strong writing and communications skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications materials within tight deadlines.
5. Superior research and editing skills.
6. Ability to identify and cultivate key media contacts and outlets for a range of clients.
7. Experience pitching stories to local and national news outlets.
8. Experience with rapid response or 'war room' efforts.
9. Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning skills.
10. Ability to project manage and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
11. Strong client-relations skills - responsive, professional, helpful.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 USD
