About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Communications and Public Relations to serve as the national executive leader in charge of strategic communications and public relations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the organization's communication strategies, and will act as the primary representative for leadership engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves close collaboration with internal Government Affairs and oversight of all corporate communications, including media relations, and public relations initiatives. The VP will also manage a corporate team that handles various functions such as executive and internal communications, marketing, business development, crisis communications, digital marketing, and social media strategies. Applicants for the Vice President of Communications and Public Relations position must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in executive leadership roles within a multi-site, multi-state healthcare setting. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree being preferred. The role demands a proven track record in effectively communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders, advanced organizational and leadership abilities, and experience in government relations. The VP will be expected to be the organization's primary spokesperson and will indirectly oversee the communication, marketing, and business development teams at the hospital level. The ideal candidate will have a diplomatic approach to relationship building, exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, and an established network within the national news media.
