Job Overview:

As a Content Writer, you have the opportunity to craft dynamic content for a variety of external and internal projects, programs, and outputs all while bringing the companys brand voice and culture to life through your words.



Roles You Will Play:

The Wordsmith

  • Write clear, compelling short and long copy for various mediums and audiences (e.g. web copy, newsletters, email campaigns, ads, signage, and associate-,. resident-, and investor-facing communication)
  • Identify core messaging and present options to project stakeholders
  • Grasp project requirements quickly and adjust writing style to different audiences and mediums
  • Revise copy as needed (and requested) to achieve project and stakeholder goals
  • Tailor storytelling techniques to appeal to different audiences, ensuring a meaningful connection with associates and residents

The Brand Voice Ambassador

  • Adjust writing style to adhere to companys brand standards
  • Inform, engage, and persuade target audiences by writing in the companys brand voice
  • Revise existing copy to adhere to the companys brand voice
  • Identify (and remedy) copy that is not in brand voice
  • Proactively identify engaging and relevant stories within the organization, and collaborate cross functionally to unearth unique narratives that align with our brand and values

The Creative Partner & Content Curator

  • Collaborate well with the creative team and other stakeholders on both small- and large-scale projects
  • Interpret copywriting briefs and project requests from various teams
  • Consult with designers to ensure copy works in tandem with visuals to successfully relay core messaging and reflect brand standards
  • Conduct research as needed to source and generate content

Building Blocks of Success:
  • BA/BS in English, marketing, journalism, or related field
  • Proven experience as a content writer, journalist or related role
  • Basic understanding of incorporating keywords for SEO
  • Love of writing and an eye for detail and nuance
  • A creative and collaborative spirit who can work well under pressure
  • An ability to narrow in on small details while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Brilliant writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of content strategy and creation for both digital and print
  • A substantial knowledge of persuasive writing tactics and trigger words to elicit target audience response
