Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Videographer & Video Content Strategist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting, capturing, and editing video content that tells the story of OptConnect. From concept to completion, you'll manage the full lifecycle of video projects, bringing creative ideas to life while aligning with strategic goals. Some travel required.

You will be responsible for a wide range of video projects, including projects like:
  • Product launch videos
  • Customer testimonials
  • Monthly business recap videos
  • Event and interview content
  • Year-end recap videos
  • Installation and how-to tutorials
  • Award recognition content

What You'll Do:
  • Strategize & Conceptualize: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging video concepts that align with our business goals and brand voice.
  • Film & Capture: Operate video equipment to record high-quality content, both on-site and at external locations as needed.
  • Edit & Finalize: Use Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and other tools to edit and finalize videos for distribution across various platforms.
  • Collaborate & Adapt: Work closely with a small but dynamic marketing team to deliver projects on time, adapting to priorities as needed.
  • Innovate: Identify new ways to use video to enhance engagement and support other departments, including Sales, Product, and Customer Success.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of professional videography and editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse video projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and video production equipment (cameras, lighting, sound), motion graphics, and other current video technologies.
  • Creative Vision: A strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative ideas and deliver compelling content.
  • Team Player: Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, and 3D rendering a plus
  • Experience with photography and other creative mediums a plus


Salary Description

$65k-$75k
