The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 58,253 in the lowest geographic market and USD 93,204 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors. Your Impact:
Your work will amplify the voices of the men and women who serve as first responders, driving real change and connecting audiences to Axon's purpose. You'll play a key role in enhancing our brand's storytelling, all while developing your own skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do:
- Edit short-form and mid-length video content (30 seconds to 30 minutes), incorporating graphic elements, sound design, music, interviews and Axon camera footage.
- Collaborate closely with Axon's Head of Post-Production, senior editors, copywriters and Creative Director to ideate and deliver innovative creative concepts.
- Seamlessly blend marketing messaging with visually compelling content while maintaining Axon's brand aesthetics.
- Create engaging social media content and cutdowns of longer-form videos for various platforms.
- Occasionally assist as a videographer or second camera on video shoots as needed.
- Storytelling Skills:At least 5-8 years editing experience with strong storytelling skills and the ability to streamline content for short, impactful video assets.
- Editing Experience: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with adjacent knowledge of other Adobe programs.
- Technical Know-How: Excellent technical and organizational skills and knowledge of remote workflows and cloud-based editing. Familiarity with social media formats, aspect ratios and metrics. Comfortability with professional video production cameras a big plus.
- Creative Precision: Exceptional skills in editing, finishing, color grading and audio mixing/sweetening.
- Efficiency & Detail: Capable of working quickly without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
- Collaboration & Adaptability: Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and adapt to shifting creative priorities.
