A Marketing Content Manager at SPG is pivotal in coordinating the creation, distribution, and organization of all forms of visual assets across all SPG’s brand licensees and product needs. They are proactive, and manage the planning of photoshoots, video shoots, marketing campaigns, and the creation of Ecommerce Assets.
The Content Manager keeps a broad perspective and works to maintain standards across all deliverables. Monitoring all assets for quality and consistency. They have a foundational understanding of the Photo, Video, and Design industries and act as mentor and authority on all processes under these areas. Tasked with securing shoot locations, vendors, models, copywriters, and other creative contacts and services. They manage for and improve processes that accelerate the growth of the company. With their leadership they drive how we supply assets for Retailers and Sales, how we show up for our Brand Partners, and build an extensive asset library to support SPG’s growth.
This individual will work closely with all Marketing Managers, Designers, Product Developers, and Ecommerce teams. They report directly to the Marketing Director, and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
Requirements:Job Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:
- Responsible for the management of all content resources: Lifestyle and Product Photography, Video, & Copy.
- Optimize, Develop, and Propose Marketing Content Strategies & Campaigns.
- Work with Sales, Product Development, Ecommerce, and Trade Marketing to generate assets to their needs.
- Keep to and manage calendars and budgets for photoshoots, video production, and related expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Understand scope and create project briefs; Work with key stakeholders in and outside the company to establish expectations.
- Establish and manage internal photography requirements for Web, Catalogs, Promotional Content and In-Store Displays & Signage.
- Travel to and be present for on-location photo and video shoots, and ensure proper staging, product use, and marketing story is being created.
- Budget Conscious - Ensure shoots are at or below established budgets.
- Find, Vet, Coordinate with, and Manage Photographers, videographers, Other Contractors, Vendors, and Models.
- Manage Amazon A+ content creation process.
- Work closely with the Designers to adapt visual content for use across various platforms, including websites, social media, print materials, and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure Compliance to Brand Guides, and SPG standards of quality.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Copywriters to generate and manage copy creation and quality.
- Maintain Brand identity by ensuring that all content reflects each brand's voice, values, messaging, and guidelines.
- Manage Asset Libraries.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in visual content creation to keep the brand's content strategy current and competitive.
- Develop & Maintain Brand relationships with D2C & Marketing Teams
- Stay aligned with licensing partners strategies to create content that coincides with marketing and seasonal sales initiatives.
- Proactively work to meet requests from Sales and Licensing Partners with quick turnaround times.
- Communicate clearly and coordinate effectively between departments and teams.
- Holds high-quality standards for assets and able to keep to and align to brand standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong Organization Skills, Detail Oriented, and capable of working across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with a variety of creatives.
- Contacts & Connections within photo and video industry in Utah.
- Experience overseeing photography processes from start to finish.
- Confident, and able to develop and cultivate good rapport with contractors.
- Understanding of and experience working in the Photo, Video, and Design industries.
- Project Management Experience.
- Understanding of Brand Management Fundamentals.
- Preferably has hands-on photography experience.
- Able to shoot some photography as/when needed.
- Experience working within Budgets, and strategic project planning.
- Able to thrive in a growing and fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working in-office work hours.
- Able to travel for shoots when needed.
- Experience with Project Management software (Asana) a plus.
- Experience with Photoshop, Bridge, and other Relevant Photography and Video Programs a plus.
- Curious & engaged; capable of looking at the big picture and anticipating and responding to needs effectively.
