About the Role
Monks is seeking a talented Creative Director - Copy to join our team, focusing on our prestigious automotive client. In this role, you'll provide our client with social-first creative campaigns, ideas, and direction, driving their success in the social media landscape. The Creative Director will manage, guide, and create the social media communication layer of our client's vision. You will inspire the creativity and strategic thinking of your team, navigating the ever-evolving social media trends and platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • Be the creative steward for our automotive client's social media presence
  • Own the creative execution of social media projects from pitch to final delivery
  • Focus on insight driven social-first storytelling that inspires our client
  • Present to the client, showcasing the viral potential of our ideas
  • Develop client relationships, ensuring a well-connected partnership
  • Digest feedback and communicate it to your teams, keeping the creative engines revving
  • Participate in hiring decisions, fostering creativity, and offering a point of view on team composition and structure
  • Influence creative-led thinking across the agency's social media efforts
  • Lead concept development in relation to social media design and creative work
  • Partner with your ECD, Strategy Directors, and Design Leads to continuously improve the team's capabilities
  • Ensure social media creative projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Provide quality control over your team's social media output
About You
  • At least 2 years of CD-level experience in advertising or production, with a strong focus on social media
  • MUST HAVE: Social and Automotive Experience
  • Ability to come up with buzzworthy social media ideas and present them in compelling decks
  • Have a deep understanding of AI, and how AI creative tools can be used to uplevel creative ideas and create quickturn solutions for our client
  • Take ownership of entire social media campaigns, providing strong leadership and direction
  • Digital genius with an innate taste for the latest social media platforms, trends, and technologies
  • Confident leading different types of social media work, from organic and paid campaigns to influencer partnerships and activations
  • Champion social-first storytelling and experienced working with content creators, influencers, and social media managers
  • Strong pitching and presentation skills to represent Monks and showcase our social media prowess
  • Ensure social media designs and content reflect consistency and positivity towards our client's brand image
  • Direct teams across time zones and manage social media work at a distance
  • Understand the process and politics of social media advertising and know when to be pragmatic
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adjust to last-minute requests or revisions
