Prescient Edge is seeking a talented Technical Writer Intern to support our technical staff, engineers, and Business Development Team. As a Technical Writer, you will be asked to develop and write a variety of end-user product documentation including quick start, implementation, and user guides. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Thorough command of English grammar and foundational knowledge of technical writing and business communication standards.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; able to adapt to a standard technical writing style, write clearly and concisely, and convey information in multiple formats for a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail and consistency.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize assignments to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Provide advanced technical writing support to design, develop, and support writing accurate, highly-technical management documents, executive-level briefings, policy drafts, marketing products, technical documents, and manuals.
  • Prepare required technical documentation and expertise for any documentation tasks.
  • Ensure that all documents are properly saved in SharePoint with the proper meta-data and tags, allowing for easy retrieval of required documents and information.
  • Implement permission settings to ensure documents cannot be modified without going through the proper workflow and approvals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in communications, technical writing, or a related area with writing experience within your senior year or pursuing a master’s degree in a related area with writing experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to share work and articulate the ideas behind the work.
  • The ability to conduct independent research and solve problems independently.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and work with multiple employees on various projects.
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing project requests and deliver quick turnarounds, if necessary.
  • An excellent eye for detail.
  • Driven to make an impact in a rapidly growing organization.
  • Ability to complete a project from start to finish.
