QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software (Canva).
Knowledge of design principles, typography, and color theory.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work within brand guidelines.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects) is a plus
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Design and produce digital and print materials, including flyers, social media graphics, banners, brochures, posters, and other promotional materials.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts for campaigns and initiatives.
Ensure that all designs adhere to the YMCA's brand guidelines and reflect our mission and values.
Manage design projects from concept through completion, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
Work closely with other departments to understand their design needs and create customized solutions.
Support multimedia and video content creation, including filming, editing, and production, as needed.
Stay current with design trends and best practices to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of our visual content.
Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
Attend required abuse risk management training.
Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.
Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
Participates in required Manager On Duty
Completes other duties as assigned.
