Maintains open lines of communication with project stakeholders, offering leadership as a Lead Designer or interior design team coordinator when necessary. Effectively participates in and leads project meetings, both virtual and in-person, to facilitate coordination with consultants and internal teams. Demonstrates proficiency in written communication, virtual meeting tools, and standardized documentation practices, ensuring clear and consistent project records. Conducts quality checks on deliverables, provides feedback to junior staff, and raises critical concerns with project leadership to maintain project integrity. Collaborates with team members to align on scheduling strategies, adhering to timelines and managing digital file standards effectively. Leads portions of client presentations, refining skills in targeted market sectors and ensuring alignment with client expectations. Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables meet design intent, budget constraints, and fee structures while keeping stakeholders informed. Brings creative, client-focused solutions to interior design challenges, seamlessly integrating architectural and interior elements for a unified outcome. Guides mid- and junior-level staff in aligning design concepts with construction methodologies and engineering requirements. Applies advanced knowledge of space planning principles, addressing ergonomics, clearances, functional layouts, and three-dimensional concepts. Develops and presents design options, balancing form, function, cost, and durability while adapting to diverse project types. Leverages expertise in visualization tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite to produce high-quality design outputs and support team development. Reviews and finalizes materials and finishes, delegating specification tasks appropriately to junior team members. Plays an active role in business development by preparing impactful presentation materials and engaging with potential clients. Stays attuned to evolving design trends and innovations through industry conferences, applying insights to enhance project outcomes. Oversees the creation of comprehensive project documentation from initial concept to construction, ensuring adherence to technical standards. Reviews and refines construction documents, finish schedules, and elevations for accuracy and consistency. Collaborates with project architects during site observations, addressing compliance with building codes, ADA requirements, and safety regulations. Performs detailed numeric tasks, including budgeting, area calculations, and documentation audits, to maintain project accuracy and efficiency. Acts as a technical resource for interior finishes, furniture, and fixtures, maintaining updated material libraries and databases. Manages FF&E specifications, budgets, and tagging, ensuring consistent formatting and compliance with project requirements. Prepares bid tabulations, coordinates with procurement teams, and advises clients on financial strategies. Partners with senior leadership to develop cost-effective solutions and oversees junior staff contributions to financial planning and resource management. Provides leadership during the construction phase, addressing RFIs, facilitating value engineering exercises, and managing submittals. Collaborates with contractors, construction managers, and client teams, ensuring smooth implementation of design intent during construction.
