Salary Range for this position is $89,000 - $90,000. Salary Range is based on Experience and Education levels.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF R&D, Medical Writer,

The Medical Writer will assist with the development and writing of literature demonstrating the value of Castle's clinically available tests and pipeline projects. The Medical Writer will contribute to the development of written managed care, marketing, and commercial materials to support payor-facing and customer-facing groups at Castle. This role will primarily involve writing, revising, and submitting dossiers, clinical summaries, letters, manuscripts, abstracts, and other literature intended for both scientific and medical, as well as non-scientific/medical, audiences.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Requirements
    • Training in the life sciences (BS, MS, or Ph.D.) with a clinical and scientific understanding of oncology and medical terminology
    • 3+ years of writing experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
    • Proven writing skills, with examples of application to the oncology field, including peer-reviewed publications and grant applications
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while working in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral communication skills
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrated team player
    • Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.

SCHEDULE

  • 5 days a week in office, in either our Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place or Friendswood, TX office location.
  • Normal business hours are 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasionally, off-hour work may be necessary to communicate and meet deadlines.
