Conference and Events Marketing Manager
to be based in our
New York, NY

will work with the Head of Marketing to ensure each conference and event realizes its full potential.
This position is full-time and is strategically located in New York, NY and will report directly into the Vice President, Head of Westfield Specialty Marketing. Due to the role supporting regions in which they would not be based, travel is a requirement for approximately 25% of the time where and when major events are occurring depending on and could increase with seasonality. A successful candidate will be a natural planner, extremely task oriented, self-driven, results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic planning, oversight and execution of regional and national conferences and events portfolio Manages all event logistics
Responsible for execution of logistics including venue, contracting, décor, materials, branding, AV for both in-person and virtual events, etc. Define and execute pre-, during and post-event communications activities Create and execute high touch client events (receptions, customer events, wine dinners, art tours, sporting events, etc.) On-site participation at conferences and events
Independently engage key stakeholders as well as internal and external partners throughout the event planning and execution process to identify event objectives, goals, attendee list, communications, speaker management, and other tasks as needed Cvent event website and invitation build, manage guests lists in Cvent, deploy invitations Coordinate with Marketing to ensure brand compliance and consistency in terms of all event materials, collateral, etc. Partner with Marketing on the development of campaigns and strategic marketing communications to promote participation at events across social and digital channels Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers' contracts, including but not limited to negotiation of contracts Ensure the review of all contracts from third party event suppliers with Procurement Manage budget including invoicing, vendor payments and overall tracking Ability to schedule and meet deadlines is critical as the position is exceptionally deadline sensitive based on the heavy emphasis on planning required Analyzes event outcomes and prepares recommendation to determine future event investment DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Minimum of 7 years' experience in event coordination and management, marketing and/or similar area, experience in financial services preferred but not required Bachelor's degree (hospitality related degree a plus); Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) designation is a plus Demonstrated success in event management and project management with a focus on operational excellence including budget management, financial tracking, and contract negotiations Experience with CVENT is a must, and Salesforce is a plus; Aptitude for technology and project management Knowledge of marketing KPIs to highlight the ROI of event investments Ability to develop strategy by taking broad visions and developing structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics, and then executing on those plans Professionalism and ability to interface with senior level executives and clients Agile minded, innovative, and resourceful with a knack for problem-solving Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail Ability to travel 25% of time for onsite support and site visits
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $120-150k. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate. In addition, all employees are eligible for competitive annual incentive targets, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
