THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is currently seeking a Project Designer for Fire Protection Systems. This position plans, coordinates, and handles all aspects of the technical design for each project assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
Design and draft Fire Protection Systems in accordance with all applicable codes within the scope of the contract.Review project plans/documents.Oversee design techniques, as assigned and overseeing block out and the layout for projects.Assist with project coordination, initial scheduling, change requests, and technical assistance.Field check project construction and handle field questions as needed.Communicate all correspondence on the project schedule or manpower requests to the field superintendent.Obtain all necessary approvals and reviews of the project design submittal.Assist estimators and design staff with technical interpretations as needed.Maintain engineering folders and records for each project.WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
Working knowledge of design software programs.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Ability to read and interpret system designs prepared by others.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong time management skills, and the ability to multi-task.Ability to complete projects independently.WHAT WE'RE BRINGING TO THE TABLE
