Job Summary:

SimpliGov is seeking to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of the proposal process, from sourcing bid requests to final delivery. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, create and coordinate responses, and ensure proposals are compliant with company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in the technical writing and creation of Public Sector bid responses, and managing complex, multi-phase proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Source Bid Requests: Actively monitor and identify new bid opportunities that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Manage Proposal Process: Oversee all stages of the proposal process, including initial review, qualification, template creation, task assignment, status updates, scheduling, review sessions, final formatting, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary content for proposals, including solution pricing and technical input. Ensure all contributors meet deadlines and provide accurate information.
  • Ensure Compliance: Review proposals for adherence to company standards, best practices, and RFP/RFI/RFO requirements, ensuring all responses are compliant and complete.
  • Analyze RFP Outcomes: Evaluate the success of submitted proposals, report on outcomes, and recommend areas for process improvement.
  • Monitor Open Bids: Track the status of ongoing bids and ensure timely follow-up and response submissions.
  • Maintain Information Database: Regularly update and maintain information databases with current, accurate information using available resources.
Qualifications:
  • At least two years of experience in technical writing, specifically with RFP/RFI/RFO templates.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector industry and its unique requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000 - $80,000 plus commission and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
