About the Role

Workday is seeking a passionate and creative Advertising and Media Intern to join our dynamic Brand team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student eager to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of advertising and media. The intern will play a supporting role in the development and execution of advertising campaigns, content creation, and media planning. This internship offers a valuable learning experience in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to contribute to real-world projects.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, development and execution of advertising campaigns:
    • Assisting on target audience definition (e.g., assessing insights, hurdles, motivators)
    • Assisting on development of agency brief, including messaging development
    • Assisting with evaluation and providing feedback to creative agency on advertising materials (e.g., print ads, digital banners, social media content, customer content)
    • Assisting with development and evaluation of brand activation at our Rising 2025 conference
    • Partake in weekly status with Workday's advertising agency partner
    • Assist with communications between our agency partners on key projects
  • Support media planning:
    • Work closely with the Media Managers to ensure that all media programs are data led to lead to the most optimal journey to conversion
    • Assisting with media planning for FY27
    • Prepare insightful POVs with a clear and rational recommendation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally:
    • Assisting the Ad Integration Lead in brand-to-demand-to-advocacy activations that ensure brand campaign is extended throughout the funnel
    • Assisting with ensuring digital experience is well connected
    • Working with organic social team on opportunities to further activate on advertising campaigns
  • Assist with brand measurement:
    • Create a competitive advertising analysis in partnership with media and creative agencies
    • Conducting market research and analysis
    • Aid Media Managers with analyzing campaign performance data and providing insights
About You

Basic Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor to which you will return to in Fall 2025
  • Able to commit to full time internship program for 12 weeks during summer of 2025
  • Course work or internship in marketing, advertising, communications, business or related field at a technology company or finance, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting or BI/analytics
Other Qualifications
  • Experience using Microsoft office tools and Google docs, slides, sheets
  • A strong strategic, creative problem solver, with technical and analytical expertise
  • Able to think strategically and act very tactically
  • Passionate about advertising. Loves crafting phenomenal advertising campaigns
  • Strong communicator using verbal, written, visual/presentation skills
  • Strong interest in advertising and media
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $41,600 USD - $135,000 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $39,500 USD - $135,000 USD
