POSITION SUMMARY

The Website Content Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, creation, and publishing of content for the MSBA's external website. Working closely with the Director of Administration and Operations, the Website Content Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and growth of the pages and content of the website. The Website Content Manager will create, update, develop and manage content for the MSBA and maintain site standards for new web pages. This position will work across departments to ensure all website content is up to date and fresh. The position is also responsible for providing insights and analysis of MSBA website traffic using web analytics tools. This position seeks to ensure the continuous improvement of the functionality and efficiency of the MSBA website and to create a positive user experience in communicating the MSBA's mission to internal and external constituency groups.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Create, develop, update and manage web content for MSBA.
    • Perform a variety of technical and creative duties using a range of graphics software applications, techniques and tools to design and produce high quality web pages.
    • Create, develop and manage high-quality content for MSBA online presence.
    • Manage web content, create and update the website in collaboration with IT using PHP and Drupal.
    • Schedule and manage all web content work with all relevant team members; track web project deadlines and work closely with stakeholders to communicate web content information relevant to timeline and strategy of the MSBA.
    • Serve as a point of contact to coordinate and produce web content across the MSBA
    • Maintain accurate and updated content for all sections of MSBA website
    • Format documents as needed to prepare for posting to site including drafting, editing, document conversion, formatting images and researching all necessary links
    • Create images, charts, graphs and other visual graphics for the MSBA website.
    • Use analytics to monitor website traffic and continuously improve internet presence.
    • Work alongside MSBA IT team to produce rich client experiences and visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
    • Develop and maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the website's interface.
    • Maintain a high awareness of industry trends and technologies with regards to web development.
    • Work with the Director of Administration and Operations to regularly seek improvement and efficiency of website for internal and external users.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure individual departments have accurate and updated information on their department pages.
    • Provide training and assistance to support staff on the external website.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology/ computer science, Marketing, Communications or other related degrees.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience with digital content management, web design, web development, digital communications, web content writing/editing, or related experience.
    • Experience with Content Management Systems, preferably PHP/Drupal.
    • Experience in managing projects, working in teams, negotiating and influencing, problem solving and analysis, and producing clear written communication
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
    • Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform and cross device computability of websites.
    • Knowledge and experience with design and development of intranets.
    • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional, basic imaging software, and various Internet search engines.
    • Proficiency in using Adobe Illustrator, GIMP and other imaging software.
    • Familiarity with Google analytics and basic knowledge of HTML.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks; analyze and suggest solutions to varying problems.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaboratively across all departments.
Preferred Requirements
    • Programming languages like HTML, CSS and Java script.
