Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Web Content Coordinator in our Corporate Headquarters location.
The Web Content Coordinator provides oversight and acts a gate keeper for all website properties by evaluating all aspects that make up the web content; technical, non-technical and creative assets. The Web Content Coordinator handles content migration and front-end development lead, responsible for page development including HTML and CSS implementations. The Coordinator is also responsible for supporting all Marketing & Communications teams and internal departments who request technical support and guidance for developing content on our web properties. The Coordinator ensures that style guides and copy standards are met and is responsible for content changes, proofreading, editing and publishing website content, as well as determining and proposing format/architecture of new web content. The Coordinator coordinates media library and workflows and establishes best practices to improve page development. The Coordinator validates that website content is compliant with corporate website guidelines and corporate policies including ADA accessibility. The Coordinator troubleshoots and resolves any technical challenges, escalates as needed and collaborates to develop and administer search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, establishing best practices to ensure visibility and organic ranking across the top three search engines. The ideal candidate will also act as primary application manager for BrightEdge SEO platform.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and executes CMS workflow/content processes (authoring, publishing, proofreading, editing, HTML/CSS code correction) to ensure quality content, proper grammar, style and optimization for SEO, collaborating with internal and external staff, coordinating language translation processes with vendor, and troubleshooting issues with CMS vendor as required
- Collaborates and works closely with the web project manager and digital marketing director to troubleshoot and update creative assets, materials,content and implement content architecture solutions
- Responsible for supporting and educating SHC and SI staff on web content and CMS best practices to improve web content and development workflow, as well as reviewing style guides, publishing procedures and Sitecore specific processes
- Works closely with Web Project Manager and third party developers to collaborate on continuous improvement projects, implement bug fixes and new functionality. This includes collaborating and providing guidance during all phases of web projects
- Leads search engine optimization projects, research and implementation using BrightEdge SEO platform and Google search tools. This includes technical troubleshooting, monitoring crawl reports and report dashboard development
- Support for web projects and implementation of various web based tools
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5 yrs of related work experience required
- Experience working with CMS required
- Proficient Photoshop experience required
- Intermediate HTML and CSS editing skills required
- Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading required
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO principles and Google Analytics preferred
Education:
- Associate's degree in related field required
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
