Sales Content Strategist - Sales Enablement, Proposal Development

BNY Asset Servicing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Content Strategist editor to join our Sales Enablement Team. The individual will drive sales strategy initiatives and ensure the highest standards in our sales proposals, particularly in executive summaries. This role is critical in driving sales effectiveness, enhancing proposal quality, and aligning our sales efforts with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional writing skills, with a keen eye for detail and creative. Individual will partner with Executives, Client Coverage Leads and Writers to develop best in class benchmarks, defining structural and stylistic norms, and provide hands on support for the most critical opportunities.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
* Sales Strategy Development:
* Collaborate with Sales Enablement and the sales leadership team to define and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
* Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovative content development.
* Develop and maintain sales playbooks, best practices, and guidelines to enhance the overall sales proposal and executive summary process.
* Proposal Quality Assurance:
* Oversee the quality assurance process for sales proposals, with a specific focus on executive summaries.
* Establish and enforce standards for proposal content, structure, and messaging to ensure clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.
* Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of executive summaries, providing constructive feedback.
* Content Development and Editing
* Review content for grammar, punctuation, clarity, and style. Ensure that the writing adheres to the publication's style guide.
* Collaborate with sales to refine their win themes, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
* Collaborate with sales and internal stakeholders to develop win themes which may involve ideation sessions.
* Training and Development:
* Design and deliver training programs on effective proposal writing, sales strategies, and best practices.
* Mentor and coach staff to improve proposal development skills and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
* Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to gather insights and ensure alignment in proposal narratives.
* Facilitate regular meetings to discuss strategy updates, proposal performance, and quality assurance metrics.
* Performance Measurement:
* Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and proposal quality.
* Monitor and analyze proposal success rates, feedback from clients, and sales outcomes to continuously improve sales initiatives
* Continuous Improvement:
* Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies that can enhance sales performance and proposal quality.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and creative thinking.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
* Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in sales strategy development, proposal management, or a related field, preferably in financial services.
* Proven track record of developing successful sales strategies and high-quality proposals.
* Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

* Adobe and Microsoft Office - Well versed in working on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and SharePoint.
