Cad Designer Job at Actalent in New Berlin
Actalent, New Berlin, WI, United States, 53151
Job Title: CAD Designer
Contact: 6 months
Job Description
We are currently undergoing a transition from Creo to SolidWorks and are seeking a skilled individual to assist with this process. The primary responsibility of this role is to convert files from Creo to SolidWorks. While SolidWorks can import Creo files, the imports are not seamless, requiring the individual to have the Creo model open and redraw many elements from scratch in SolidWorks.
In addition to the conversion tasks, there is an opportunity to participate in ongoing testing activities. This involves using a compression tester that cycles on a seat cushion. The tasks include running tests, loading parts, starting processes, and then returning to CAD work. This dual focus on CAD conversion and testing provides a dynamic and varied workday.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Convert files from Creo to SolidWorks by redrawing elements from scratch as needed.
+ Participate in testing activities using a compression tester, including running tests, loading parts, and starting processes.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transition and integration of files.
+ Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the conversion process.
Skills:
+ Proficiency in Creo and SolidWorks.
+ Strong drafting skills with a solid understanding of drafting grammar.
+ Ability to create detailed models and drawings in SolidWorks.
+ Experience with CAD software and file conversion processes.
