Your Opportunity
Our Energy & Resources group has a new opportunity for a CAD Designer in Denver, CO. As a technician, you will work in a team environment to work on tasks for large projects on a variety of heavy civil projects from around the world, including dams, hydropower, and mining projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform high quality Civil3D Design under the direction of our CAD Manager, Engineering Team and Project Managers
- Comply with schedules and budget hours for CAD efforts for a wide variety of mining and industrial projects.
- Develop earthwork grading plans and layouts for dams and spillway features as described above using Civil3D
- Ability to work with remote teams via ProjectWise with minimal oversight.
- Attention to details and strong QA/QC skills.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience using advanced Civil 3D grading features, corridors, roads, volumetrics and other tools.
- Previous experience working on Dams and Spillways related projects a plus.
- Previous experience with Civil Site design, Carlson Software, ProjectWise, Globalmapper and ArcGIS a plus.
- Solid computer literacy in MS Office products
- Proficiency with AutoCAD a must
- Proficiency with MicroStation is a plus
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work closely with Project Engineers, adhere to budget guidelines, schedules and client specifications during the project
- Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual
- You will be expected to support team operations and play an integral part in the promotion of our health and safety culture
- The ability to work under and meet tight deadlines while delivering a quality product for the client
- initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team
- Eager to learn with strong listening and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self -starter who consistently demonstrates professionalism and willingly accepts responsibility
- This person performs as a team player, always shows a positive attitude towards clients, and strives for constant improvement in process and delivery
- Degree from a Technical College in CAD with an emphasis in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Minimum of 5 years of experience In Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D (through 2018 or later).
- Position will primarily work in an office setting/remotely working from home; may require some field work.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- $34 - $49 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI and MD
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
