Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems including LANs, WLANs, VoIP systems, IP Public Address Systems, IP Camera Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to low voltage systems (e.g., NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings for low voltage systems based on engineering specifications, project requirements, and design standards.
- Create, update, and maintain CAD libraries and templates to ensure consistent and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure design accuracy.
- Perform site visits to collect data and verify field conditions, ensuring accurate representation in drawings.
- Utilize CAD software to produce layout drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation details for LAN, WLAN, VoIP, IP Public Address Systems, IP Camera Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members regarding CAD related tasks.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
- Ability to conduct site visits, which may require walking, standing or climbing.
- A California Drivers license, use of a car and be able to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
