NV5 is seeking a Senior Technical Editor & Specification Writer to join our dynamic team in the Pacific Northwest. This role is pivotal in supporting our experienced engineers across various locations including Wilsonville and Portland, Oregon, as well as the greater Seattle area.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to write and edit geotechnical reports, and develop specifications for roadway, civil engineering projects, bridges, and structures.
  • Ensure all documentation meets industry standards and client requirements, with a particular focus on transportation projects for for agencies such as ODOT and WSDOT.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible language for both private sector clients and public agencies.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in technical editing and specification writing, preferably within the engineering sector.
  • Familiarity with standards for geotechnical reports and civil engineering specifications.
  • Strong understanding of the design and construction processes related to transportation infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

The pay range for this Washington position is $30.00- $40.00 per hour; based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. NV5 may provide restricted stock units, sign-on bonuses, stay bonuses, or relocation allowances as part of the compensation package. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are also offered to full-time employees, along with Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts, with employee and employer contributions. NV5 offers 3 weeks of Paid Time Off a year for full-time hourly employees along with 8 paid holidays a year and Flexible Time Off plan for full-time salary employees along with 6 paid holidays a year. 401(k) savings plan; Company Paid Basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance; Company Paid Short-term and long-term disability insurance are also provided.
