ACCOUNTABILITY: Administrator/ VP Marketing Business Development
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing and Development
1. Responsible for census development through direct sales/marketing to physicians, physician groups, hospital staff, managed care organizations, case managers, social workers, and other community professionals to build a successful patient referral network.
2. The candidate will establish comprehensive, strategic marketing/business plans in collaboration with senior leadership and corporate staff to achieve the facility's objectives and ensure census and mix forecasts are met or exceeded. The business/marketing plan will be accessed and updated no less than quarterly to ensure that all business indicators are met.
3. Maintains a measurement and tracking system, regularly delivering timely reports and presentations. Provides specific feedback to Administrator and Corporate on performance achieved monthly and quarterly.
4. Maintain data to use for quarterly analysis and feedback.
5. Represent Cavalier Healthcare in the community and conduct/coordinate community events, meetings, and speaking engagements, including but not limited to health fairs, expos, educational events, and civic groups.
6. Attend and provide educational in-services to facility staff and externally to book of business.
7. Attend facility meetings designated by the Administrator and perform weekly marketing meetings with the facility to keep the facility up-to-date on referrals, new business, and upcoming events.
8. Other tasks deemed necessary by the Administrator.
Referral/Admission Process
1. Perform on-site clinical and financial assessments to determine the appropriateness of admission in both the acute and community setting.
2. Work with residents, families, and professionals to facilitate efficient admission.
3. Coordinate admission to the facility with facility staff.
4. Enter resident information into practice management software before admission and as needed.
5. Ensure admission readiness of rooms, needed equipment, and transport for new admission at the facility level and externally with the case manager, social workers, and dc planners.
6. Conduct insurance authorizations and work with insurance companies until the completion of admission to the facility.
7. Conduct facility tours and receive and process all incoming inquiries and potential admissions.
8. Work with families on the long-term care Medicaid process during the initial admission process and support the Director of Social Services in obtaining information before admission.
9. Maintain data to use and report, including referral logs, book of business, and CRM to capture trends and growth.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field. Proven success in sales or business development roles can be commensurate in lieu of a formal degree.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•Must tolerate a high pace as typical for a nursing facility. Must be able to take and give instructions
well and enjoy working with the elderly.
•Although an employee must sit for prolonged periods, they must also be able to tolerate prolonged
standing and walking.
