This reporter will lead our coverage in Western North Carolina, focusing on the Asheville and Hendersonville areas, with special emphasis on Hurricane Helene’s impact and recovery efforts in Latino rural communities. The reporter will investigate hurricane economic recovery, including access to resources, housing stability, and business impacts and critical issues affecting Latino communities, such as: immigration, labor, education, health, and local politics.
Salary and Benefits:
$55,000-$60,000
Health Insurance stipend. 2 Weeks Vacation, 10 Days of PTO, plus all Federal Major Holidays, Internet stipend. Company-issued camera and laptop (if needed).
This position will be:
Work-from-home (based in the coverage area)
Moving Stipend:
$1,500
