If you're interested in leveraging and honing your technical writing and reporting skills as a part of a program team that gathers, distills, and provides critical insights into cybersecurity vulnerability assessments of mission-critical government systems, we have the ideal role for you to start your new career path at Parsons!
As part of our team, you'll get to leverage your Technical Writing Skills (while continuing to learn and improve your skills alongside our subject matter experts), to perform comprehensive technical writing tasks within a team of Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and Intel Analysts supporting DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities. Technical writers get matrixed into Project Teams to perform cyber hygiene and vulnerability assessments on major weapons and space systems.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Revise and complete deliverables on schedule
- Maintain the current draft on the systems' Interlink SharePoint Page
- Ensure the Strategic Cybersecurity Programs (SCP) Evaluation Report's language is complete, consistent, and clear.
- Ensure SCP deliverables are developed using the most current SCP documentation standards
- Serve as a SCP documentation SME to the Evaluation Team
- Ensure all acronyms and abbreviations in the SCP evaluation Report are properly defined
- Attend all status meetings with the SCP PMO
- Communicate status, dependencies, risks and issues daily/weekly to the Evaluation Project Team Lead
- Keep internal Confluence page and Configuration Item (CI) Log updated with the latest revision and location of SCP Evaluation Reports
- Assemble Main Body and Annexes into Full Report
- 6 years experience in production and/or editing of technical documents to include specific experience in writing for non-technical audiences (relevant degree in science, math, information systems, or engineering can be substituted for up to two [2] years of experience only)
- Experience providing Technical Writing support within Engineering teams
- Experienced user of the latest release of Microsoft Office (or equivalent) products
- Additionally, in accordance with any particular task, the candidate shall have a combination of the following skills:
- Ability to consolidate technical inputs and analyses, and produce a logical, understandable document
- Ability to read and modify engineering drawings/specifications
- Ability to interpret, absorb, and synthesize large quantities of engineering or technical information for non technical readers
- Ability to enter technical studies, metadata, and data into relational databases
- Ability to upload content onto websites using COTS web authoring tools
- Ability to integrate existing graphics into documents using various COTS tools
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with latest release of Microsoft Office
- Active TS/SCI + Polygraph
- 10 years' experience providing Technical Writing support within System Engineering teams developing system vulnerability assessments and evaluations
- Bachelor's degree in STEM related field

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
