VML is searching for a Senior Experience Designer, UX. The experience design, UX, is responsible for optimizing the behaviors and expectations of users within an experience. They study what the user does before, during, and after an experience, and why. UXers create models and prototypes, and rely on user feedback for proof or basis for iterations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Draw upon analytical and process-oriented skills to generate human-centered recommendations using design thinking methods
  • Do user research, primary and secondary, to develop personas and user and interaction flow diagrams
  • Develop information architecture (IA), annotated wireframes, interaction design prototypes and documentation
  • Evaluate existing sites for usefulness, usability and best practices
  • Collaborate with UI and copywriter to execute design vision
  • Support and participate in user testing
  • Understand both client goals and user needs
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in liberal arts or human-centered design or equivalent in a related field
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience
  • Experience in user-centered design methods and techniques
  • Experience in interface design, responsive design and platform-based solutions
  • Digital agency experience and background preferred
  • Proficient with design tools such as Sketch and InVision app for designing and prototyping solutions •Can find creative ways to get things done effectively and collaboratively
  • Continuous learner of technology; promoting it, using it and finding new tools to make us more effective •Ability to distill complex ideas into simple concepts
  • Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills, as well as verbal and written skills
  • Strong writing skills, creativity and passion for user-centered design
  • Ability to develop relationships, and plan and execute with minimal oversight

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $60,000-$140,000 USD
