Coker University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of the McCall School of Visual and Performing Arts beginning Spring 2025. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position that reports to the Provost. The University is seeking an individual to promote Coker as a community and institutional arts leader and to ensure the viability and interconnectedness of our visual and performing arts programs.
With a collaborative and results-driven approach, the essential duties and responsibilities include: drive revenue growth, financial stewardship and budget management, optimize facilities for maximum impact, increase enrollment and retention, enhance arts education and public engagement, champion diversity and inclusion, lead and support faculty and staff, streamline course offerings and policies, conduct performance evaluations, collaborate with university leadership, engage alumni and build connections, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Required qualifications include a master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Arts Administration, Theatre Arts, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, or a related discipline; strong foundational training in one or more of the visual or performing arts disciplines; prior higher education or arts management leadership experience.
