The Writing Studio is part of the SXU Learning Center, assisting all students in the areas of writing, speaking, and reading.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist students at all levels (undergraduate to graduate) with improving reading comprehension, and their understanding of the writing process.
  • Assist students with their academic, professional, and creative writing assignments. Such assistance may involve helping students with MLA, APA, or Chicago formatting and researching or writing in their discipline.
  • Help students at any stage in the writing process--from brainstorming to revising and editing.
  • Assist the Learning Center staff with student tutor trainings and developing/delivering writing workshops for the university throughout the semester.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in both English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5-years of experience in education.
  • ELL education knowledge preferred
