WINK News is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Producer of Investigations to join our team in Southwest Florida. We are looking for a strategic, innovative, and driven individual with a passion for impactful journalism and investigative storytelling. This leader will guide our investigative team to produce high-quality, in-depth stories that hold people in power accountable, reveal injustices, and provide our community with critical information.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Oversee the investigative unit, driving editorial vision and ensuring all stories meet WINK News’ standards of accuracy, fairness, and excellence.
- Story Development: Collaborate with reporters, producers, and photographers to develop investigative angles on issues relevant to our Southwest Florida audience.
- Editorial Oversight: Directly manage the research, scripting, and storytelling process, ensuring thorough fact-checking and balanced coverage.
- Content Strategy: Work closely with senior leadership and news management to align investigative stories with WINK News' overall content strategy, including digital platforms.
- Collaboration: Partner with the newsroom team, including producers and digital to expand the reach and impact of investigative content across all platforms.
- Audience Engagement: Engage with viewers by explaining complex issues clearly and concisely and exploring innovative ways to tell investigative stories that captivate and inform.
- Mentorship: Lead, train, and inspire the investigative team, helping them grow professionally and achieve their best work.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in investigative journalism, with at least 2 years in a leadership or producing role.
- Strong Storytelling: A proven track record of producing compelling, high-impact investigative stories that make a difference.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional research and investigative skills, with the ability to uncover stories through data, public records, and sources.
- Leadership Ability: Strong decision-making, team-building, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to newsroom leadership.
- Digital Savvy: Understanding of digital and social media platforms and how to extend investigative content to engage a wider audience.
- Ethical Standards: Commitment to journalistic integrity and ethical standards.
