Job Summary
The Social Media Content Specialist will develop a social media marketing plan, create, and post new content, connecting with the community, and analyzing the success and performance of social media marketing campaigns. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and customer service, to ensure consistent brand messaging and a cohesive social media
presence.
Major Tasks
- Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content. Content includes videos and photos on company’s website, blog, and aforementioned social media channels.
- Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.
- Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success (e.g., Twitter chats, LinkedIn discussions, etc.).
- Work alongside other marketers and content marketers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience and supports marketing goals.
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
- Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target audience.
- Track, measure and analyze all initiatives to report on key KPIs and social media ROI.
Experience
Minimum Years of Experience 2-4
Experience in digital marketing and content creation, preferably within the childcare or education sector.
Educational Requirements
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing and content creation, preferably within the childcare or education sector.
- Understanding of/proven expertise in social media marketing and social media platforms. Ability to study and interpret social media marketing analytics.
- Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Proficiency in using social media software (e.g. Sprout) to monitor social media conversations. You will be our ear to the ground to route the appropriate marketer, sales rep, and/or support rep to social conversations.
- Great organizational skills; ability to monitor multiple social media platforms concurrently
- Bonus experience and skills include Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, demand generation, inbound marketing, and blogging.
