CAD Technician, Transportation Design

As part of the Texas transportation team, the CAD Technician will have the opportunity to contribute to roadway and structural plans and some of the largest transportation projects in Texas. Work will include collaboration on multi-discipline projects with other technicians and engineers in the roadway and structural groups.
Responsibilities:
Modify engineering drawings as directed by engineer or design coordinator for Bridge/Drainage/Roadway plans utilizing MicroStation software.
Drafts and prepare engineering plans and exhibits from field data, sketches, drawings, raw data, diagrams and/or verbal/written instructions.
Performs project redlines to complete quality plan deliverables with minimal supervision.
Ensure quality control in compliance with CADD standards.
Project file organization experience.
Produce and deliver quality engineering plans on budget and on schedule.
Qualifications:
An Associate or Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Engineering, Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent.
2+ years of experience on multidisciplinary DOT projects including Bridge, Drainage, TCP and Roadway.
Must be proficient in MicroStation V8i and CONNECT, Projectwise, Open Roads Modeler knowledge is a plus.
Must be detail oriented.
Familiarity with CAD standards.
Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment.
