Job Title: Remote Mechanical Designer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Drafter/Designer with strong knowledge of Solidworks to help support a project. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in drafting and design, with a proven ability to set up and organize models, and understand how parts work together within a PDM system. This role involves immediate project needs and new incoming projects, requiring a proficient drafter who can work both independently and collaboratively. This can be part time work also Responsibilities Create and draft models using Solidworks and AutoCAD. Set up and organize models efficiently. Understand and implement PDM processes. Work on mechanical drafting and design projects. Collaborate with the team to ensure project requirements are met. Review and refine drafts to meet specific needs. Potentially work on custom engineering millwork projects. Work Environment If extremely proficient in Solidworks, this can turn into a fully remote position. Most likely will be considered part time, as under 40 hours of work weekly. This opportunity is initially being set as a contract, with an estimated duration of 6-8 months. (The hiring manager has eluded that there could be potential for this to become a full time, permanent position.) The hiring manager is wanting to see examples of your design and work prior to scheduling an interview, so make sure you have something prepared that you can share. He's really looking for someone who can do cradle to grade design work in Solidworks. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
