We are seeking an Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel to join one of our highly regarded clients. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with businesses across various industries, providing strategic legal guidance on innovative advertising and marketing initiatives while navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

The Role: Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping advertising and promotional strategies for clients, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and supporting innovative campaigns that resonate with audiences.

In this role, you will:

• Advise on advertising, marketing, and promotional campaigns to ensure compliance with state, federal, and international laws.
• Draft and negotiate agreements for ad agencies, influencers, endorsements, sponsorships, and online media buying.
• Review advertising content for compliance with laws related to false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and publicity rights.
• Counsel on legal compliance for contests, sweepstakes, price advertising, loyalty programs, and subscription models.
• Represent clients in disputes involving false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division matters.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates who bring:

• Experience: At least seven years of experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, or marketing transactions.
• Educational Background: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Skills: Exceptional legal writing, communication, and attention to detail.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a large or medium law firm and hybrid work environment availability. Admission to the Washington State Bar is preferred but not required.
